Summary: SoftLayer opened a new data centre facility - AMS1 – and set up its European headquarters in Amsterdam. Network PoPs have been brought online in Amsterdam, London and Frankfurt. The estimated cost of the European expansion is $75m. The facilities are set to go live November 7 and pre-orders are underway. Jonathan Wisler has been hired as the new GM for Europe.
