Telx to build out inventory in New Jersey

Summary: Telx will build a new standalone data centre adjacent to its facility at 100 Delawanna Avenue in Clifton, New Jersey.

Details: The facility will add over 100k net sqft of usable space to its colocation inventory. It will cover 215k gross sqft and support significant power densities (power specifics are not yet disclosed). Pods will be built according to varying power densities to support diverse customer requirements. Telx will break ground in 4Q11 and hopes to get the facility online by late 4Q12.

Angle: Dense network availability here and in the other four greater New York locations gives Telx the inventory it needs in a key strategic market and speaks to the existence of strong demand. Telx should see a great deal of demand from existing customers looking to expand in the area – particularly financial services industry customers. The developing ecosystem of cloud and hosting providers should push demand as well.
