Parallels

Catching up, pay wall officially up

It was a busy week for us here at Structure Research as it was for much of the industry, which descended on Orlando, Florida for the Parallels Summit. We had a chance to attend the Analyst Day and catch up with a number of industry contacts. It was great seeing you all. The Parallels Summit has definitely become one of the industry’s mainstay events and the continued growth in attendance is a strong indicator for the industry.

We did not post a great deal during the week and our apologies for that. But we did try to make up for that over the weekend and into President’s Day in the US. We have plenty more items to catch up on so please check in regularly. In the past week, we saw a slew of product announcements and yet more privately held hosting companies disclosed some insight into their progress. Earlier in the week we also had Rackspace report earnings, which again showed steady growth.

We completed our transition to a paid subscription model over the weekend. If you link to our posts you will not be able to read the entire article if you do not have a membership. You can still read the titles and summaries, and an occasional post will be made freely available, but to see the detail and analysis you will require a login. If you are interested in becoming a subscriber and want to evaluate our work please do not hesitate to email us (info [at] structureresearch.net) and ask for a trial login. We encourage all of you to give our service a try. We are confident you will want to come on board and regularly consume the best information flow in the hosting infrastructure sector.

For our American readers, hope you enjoyed the long weekend. May the short week be a productive one.
