Cloud CEOs, strategic chatter, earnings
It was a somewhat shorter week with the slowdown in the US due to the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
But there were still some notable developments. There have been changes at Oracle lately and recently departed executive Thomas Kurian unexpectedly landed at Google to take over from Diane Greene, who stepped down as CEO of Google Cloud.
On the strategic side, there was more chatter circling data centre operators in strategic markets around the world. There is word that Teraco in South Africa and DigiPlex in Sweden are possibly going to be being made available to interested acquirers.
Meanwhile, earnings season is starting to wind down and we look at the numbers coming from Wix and INAP.
The slowdown will be relatively short lived. Next Monday, Amazon hosts the AWS re:Invent show, which is sure to see plenty of interesting developments.
