Google rolls out Bare Metal Solution; back to the future with dedicated hosting?
Google rolled out a new product called Bare Metal Solution, which is basically a managed dedicated hosting service. The primary goal is to try and grab as much of the existing footprint of on-premise infrastructure (particularly Oracle databases run by enterprise customers) and get it moving to cloud.
