Akamai reports 4Q22, FY22 results; footprint expansion, colocation consumption as transition to cloud and edge accelerates
Akamai reported its 4Q22 and FY22 results, which showed forward momentum in compute and security, while growth of the delivery business continues to slow. CapEx is being shifted to the compute business as Akamai builds the footprint and infrastructure to support the Akamai Connected Cloud, the basis of its long-term strategy to combine the Linode assets and its global network and form a distributed edge and cloud computing platform that captures the increasingly decentralized nature of workloads.
