This past week, Structure Research hosted infra / STRUCTURE, our annual summit in Toronto. A total of 300 people checked in and attended the event and it was a highly productive two days of presentations, discussion and debate. A special thanks to all our sponsors, led by cornerstone sponsor DH Capital, for making this possible. We look forward to hosting you again in 2024. We are working on those details now and will have more news in the coming weeks.
AI was top of mind at infra / STRUCTURE and was brought up in multiple discussions. Inquire with us about our recent report on AI and the slide decks from our event, which include various insights and data points. AI continues to be a driver of demand for the sector and while there is considerable debate about what has materialized, there are deals being done. The latest is in Virginia for fast-growing CoreWeave.
Another hot topic at infra / STRUCTURE was Cloudflare and how it is impacting various pockets within the ecosystem. Cloudflare is also building out is GPU-oriented cloud service and we have some of the details.
Meanwhile, global expansion continues for cloud providers straddling both the hyperscale and webscale tiers. Amazon is set to build another region in Arizona, which was previously only a Local Zones edge location, while Akamai Connected Cloud is expanding rapidly on a global basis.
