New law passed in Maryland; helps solve hurdles for Quantum Loophole in Frederick, Maryland
The State of Maryland just passed the Critical Infrastructure Streamlining Act of 2024 (CISA), which brings clarity to legislation around the use of emergency backup power. The passing of the legislation, signed in to law by Maryland Governor Wes Moore, removes hurdles to hyperscale data centre development that impacted the Quantum Loophole data centre park in Frederick, Maryland.
