SAP launches Singapore data centre
SAP confirmed the launch of its Singapore data centre with the deployment of its SAP Commerce Cloud in APAC. SAP did not disclose any additional details though it is safe to assume it is leasing a small wholesale footprint from an undisclosed colocation provider. SAP’s APAC data centre locations also include Australia, China and Hong Kong. Management shared that Singapore was selected to host SAP’s data centre due to its geopolitical stability and adherence to data privacy. It is also worth noting that the Singapore location will be the default data centre for SAP’s customers in southeast Asia and India.
